Concept · Pilot sites wanted
The S.HENRY
Site Store.
A shipping container fitted out as a PPE store, placed on your site and kept stocked. Operatives get fitted, issued and re-issued multi-norm protective clothing in minutes, without leaving site or waiting on a delivery.
The problem
Big sites lose
hours to PPE.
New starters turn up without the right kit. Arc-rated garments get damaged and can't be replaced until a delivery lands. Sizes are guessed, kit gets swapped between contractors, and nobody can say who has what.
On a large site, every one of those is lost time and a gap in protection. The Site Store puts the fix where the work is.
How it would work
Six steps.
No waiting.
The pilot will test each of these on a live site. The details get shaped with you.
-
01
Placed on site.
A 10 or 20 ft container, sited with your logistics team on level hardstanding.
-
02
Stocked for your team.
Sized to your headcount, roles and specification, and restocked on a schedule.
-
03
Fitted and issued.
Operatives try kit on and are issued it, logged against their name and company.
-
04
Swapped the same day.
Damaged or contaminated kit replaced on the spot, so nobody works in compromised PPE.
-
05
Reported.
Usage by company, cost centre and size: the data for your PPE budget and your audits.
-
06
Collected.
Worn-out kit collected and handled responsibly, not left in a skip.
Questions
The practical
bits.
It's a pilot, so some answers are still being shaped. Here's where we are.
How much space does it need?
About the footprint of a standard 10 ft or 20 ft shipping container, on level hardstanding with safe access. We'd confirm the exact spot with you on a site survey.
Does it need power?
For lighting and fitting it needs a power supply, from the site or a self-contained system. We'd agree the right setup during the survey.
Who runs it?
That's one of the things the pilot will test: staffed at shift changes, controlled self-service, or a mix. Tell us what would work on your site.
What does it cost?
We're agreeing pilot terms site by site. Register your site and we'll come back with a proposal that fits your headcount and programme.
Which sites suit it?
Large or long-running sites with a big workforce and several contractors: utilities, rail, civils, infrastructure and renewables projects.
Is the kit certified?
S.HENRY fabrics are certified. Garment certification is in progress, and no garment is supplied before its certificate is issued.
Can it stock other PPE?
The pilot centres on the S.HENRY system. If you'd want other items stocked alongside it, tell us in the form. It helps us shape the offer.
Pilot sites
Put a Site Store
on your site.
We're looking for a small number of sites to pilot the Site Store. Tell us about yours. Registering doesn't commit you to anything.
